Find answers to common questions about our Key West fishing charters, including what’s included, what to bring, cancellation policies, and what to expect on the water.

  • What is included in the charter price?

    Your charter price includes rods, reels, tackle, bait, ice, bottled water, fishing licenses, and fish cleaning at the dock.


    Gratuity for the mate is not included. A customary gratuity is 20% of the charter price and is always appreciated.

  • How many people can come?

    We can accommodate up to 6 guests, depending on vessel capacity and Coast Guard regulations. Please contact us if you have questions about group size or special accommodations.

  • Are children welcome?

    Yes, children are welcome and there is no minimum age.


    For safety reasons, the captain may determine on the day of the trip that conditions are not suitable for small children based on weather and sea conditions.

  • What should we bring?

    We recommend sunglasses, a hat, a long-sleeve sun shirt, reef-safe sunscreen, snacks, a cooler to take fish home, and your camera or cell phone.


    We provide bottled water. Please feel free to bring any additional drinks you’d like.

  • Do you have restrooms on boards?

    Yes, our boat is equipped with a restroom.

  • Can we keep the fish we catch?

    Yes, guests may keep legal fish in accordance with Florida fishing regulations. Some species are protected and must be released.


    We clean and fillet your catch at the dock, and we’re happy to recommend local restaurants where you can have your catch cooked.

  • What if I get seasick?

    If you begin to feel seasick during an inshore trip, we can return to land if needed. On offshore trips, we may return early depending on conditions.


    Please note that guests are responsible for the full cost of their scheduled charter. If you are prone to seasickness, we strongly recommend taking motion sickness medication prior to your trip.

  • What if the weather is bad?

    Safety is our top priority. We closely monitor weather conditions daily and throughout each trip. If conditions are unsafe, we will not put guests in danger.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    Guest cancellations made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled trip will receive a full refund of the deposit.


    Cancellations made within 24 hours of the trip are non-refundable and the deposit will be retained.


    If a trip is canceled by the captain due to unsafe weather or sea conditions, the trip will be rescheduled or fully refunded.
